Choosing a bin rental shouldn't feel like a math test. You have a pile of junk, and you want it gone. But when you look at pricing in Simcoe County, you see two options: Standard Rates and All-In Rates.
Which one saves you money? Which one prevents a "surprise" bill at the end of the month?
At Tor Bin Rental, we believe in transparency. We are a locally owned family business serving Simcoe County since 2019. We know that homeowners and contractors have different needs. That is why we offer two distinct ways to pay.
This guide breaks down the math so you can choose the right rate for your project.
🛠️ Option 1: The Standard Rate (Pay-Per-Tonne)
The Standard Rate is the traditional way to rent a bin. You pay a lower base fee for the bin itself, and that price includes the first 1 metric tonne of disposal. If your load goes over that, you pay for the extra weight.
How it works:
Base Fee: Covers delivery, pickup, and a 7-day rental period.
Included Weight: The first 1 metric tonne of disposal is included.
Extra Disposal: If your load is over 1 metric tonne, extra weight is billed per tonne.
Final Weigh-In: The bin is weighed at a certified scale after pickup.
Extensions: Need more time? Extensions are $25 per day.
💰 Why choose the Standard Rate?
Best for heavy materials: Required for shingles, concrete, brick, asphalt, stumps, and soil.
Good for controlled loads: A solid fit if you know what is going in and want to manage cost by weight.
Includes the first tonne: Helpful if your cleanup may stay within that 1 metric tonne allowance.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Heavy materials MUST go in a Standard Rate bin. They are not allowed under the All-In Rate.
🚀 Option 2: The All-In Rate (Unlimited Disposal)
This is our "No Surprises" option for Household & Construction waste only. You pay one flat fee upfront, and the disposal cost is already included for accepted material like wood, carpet, furniture, drywall, and general renovation debris.

How it works:
Flat Fee: Covers delivery, pickup, rental period, and disposal for accepted Household & Construction waste.
Unlimited Disposal for Accepted Waste: You can fill the bin to the top rail without worrying about the scale, as long as the material is approved for All-In.
Predictable Budgeting: You know the final cost before the bin even arrives.
✅ Why choose the All-In Rate?
Best for household junk and renovation debris: Great for wood, carpet, furniture, cabinets, drywall, and similar waste.
Peace of mind: No anxiety about weight for approved Household & Construction loads.
Professional budgeting: Ideal for contractors and homeowners who want a fixed disposal cost for general cleanup.
⚠️ IMPORTANT CORRECTION: The All-In Rate does NOT allow shingles, concrete, brick, asphalt, stumps, or soil. Those materials MUST use the Standard Rate.

🧭 The "If/Then" Decision Guide
Still not sure? Use this logic to self-diagnose your project:
IF you are cleaning out a garage full of cardboard, plastic, and old clothes...
IF you are tearing off a roof or digging out a garden bed...
IF you are a contractor doing a full kitchen gut (cabinets, drywall, appliances)...
IF you are just getting rid of a few pieces of old furniture...
