Angus Yard Waste Bin Rental: Leaves, Brush and Branches Without the Mess

[UPDATE NEEDED] — this article references outdated rates or dates. Please review and update.
September 26, 20266 min read

Spring and fall cleanup in Angus can create more yard waste than your regular garbage collection can handle. Branches pile up. Hedge trimmings spread across the driveway. Wet leaves become heavy, messy, and difficult to move.

An Angus yard waste bin rental gives you one place to load the material and one scheduled pickup when the cleanup is finished.

Tor Bin Rental provides driveway-safe bins for Angus homeowners, property owners, landscapers, and contractors. Book online 24/7. Choose the correct waste category. Load the bin safely. We handle delivery, pickup, and disposal.

Quick answer: which Angus yard waste bin should you choose?

Use this simple rule:

  • If your load contains clean branches, brush, leaves, hedge trimmings, or garden waste, choose a 14-yard or 20-yard Brush / Yard Waste bin.

  • If your load includes household garbage, furniture, drywall, renovation debris, or mixed construction material, choose a Household & Construction Waste bin.

  • If your load contains dirt, sod, concrete, or asphalt, choose the dedicated 8-yard specialty bin.

  • If you are removing asphalt shingles, choose the 10-yard Shingles bin.

⚠️ Do not mix waste categories without confirming first. Contaminated brush loads may require different disposal handling and pricing.

For current availability and postal-code pricing, review the Bin Rental Services & Pricing options.

What belongs in a Brush / Yard Waste bin?

A brush bin is for clean, organic yard material from seasonal cleanup, tree trimming, or landscaping work.

Accepted yard waste includes:

  • Tree branches and small limbs

  • Brush and woody trimmings

  • Hedge cuttings

  • Shrubs

  • Leaves

  • Garden waste

  • Dead plants and garden cleanup material

  • Clean, non-hazardous plant debris

A Brush / Yard Waste bin is a practical choice after:

  • Spring pruning

  • Fall leaf cleanup

  • Hedge removal

  • Storm cleanup

  • Tree trimming

  • Garden bed removal

  • Property maintenance

  • Landscaping preparation

Keep the material clean. Remove plastic bags, wire, metal, and other non-organic items before loading.

What does not belong in a brush bin?

A brush bin is not a general garbage bin. Keep the following materials out:

  • ❌ Dirt, soil, or excavation material

  • ❌ Sod

  • ❌ Rocks, gravel, or rubble

  • ❌ Concrete or asphalt

  • ❌ Household garbage or garbage bags

  • ❌ Furniture and mattresses

  • ❌ Drywall, insulation, or flooring

  • ❌ Roofing shingles

  • ❌ Pressure-treated lumber

  • ❌ Painted or chemically treated wood

  • ❌ Appliances, electronics, or tires

  • ❌ Paint, oil, chemicals, batteries, or other hazardous materials

Pressure-treated lumber is especially important. It may look like ordinary wood, but it does not belong in a clean brush load.

If your Angus cleanup includes branches and old patio furniture, a shed, construction debris, or household junk, choose a Household & Construction Waste bin instead. If you are removing soil or rocks, use a separate specialty bin.

Angus yard waste bin sizes and dimensions

Tor Bin Rental offers four bin sizes. However, only the 14-yard and 20-yard bins are used for Brush / Yard Waste.

Choose the 14-yard Brush bin if:

  • You are clearing one moderate-sized yard.

  • You are trimming hedges or several shrubs.

  • You have a manageable amount of branches and leaves.

  • Your load should remain below the top rails.

Choose the 20-yard Brush bin if:

  • You are clearing several mature trees.

  • You are removing a large hedge.

  • You are completing a full-property cleanup.

  • You have bulky branches that take up space quickly.

  • You want to reduce the risk of needing a second bin.

If you are between sizes, choose the larger bin rather than overfilling the smaller one.

  • 8-yard Asphalt:$350

  • 10-yard Shingles:$200 + $110 per metric tonne

⚠️ The 8-yard bin is ONLY for specialty disposal: soil, concrete, and asphalt. Never use the 8-yard bin for yard waste, household garbage, shingles, or construction debris.

All prices are starting rates, vary by postal code, include a 5% fuel surcharge, and are subject to H.S.T.

Why wet leaves and soil can increase your disposal cost

Brush is often bulky but relatively light. Leaves and branches are not always light, though.

Wet fall leaves hold water. A load that looks mostly like leaves can weigh much more after rain. Soil clinging to roots, sod mixed into garden waste, and mud collected from the bottom of the bin can also add significant weight.

That is why Brush / Yard Waste disposal is charged at $110 per metric tonne.

To control the final weight:

  • Keep soil and sod out of the brush bin.

  • Shake excess dirt from roots and branches.

  • Avoid loading wet soil with leaves.

  • Do not use yard waste bags filled with dirt.

  • Keep rocks and landscaping material separate.

  • Load clean plant material only.

The cleaner the load, the easier it is to process and price correctly.

How to load branches without overfilling the bin

Branches can quickly create an unsafe load if they are left long and sticking out in every direction.

Follow these steps:

  1. Cut long branches into manageable lengths.

  2. Place larger limbs on the bottom.

  3. Lay branches in the same general direction.

  4. Add leaves and smaller trimmings around the larger pieces.

  5. Spread the load evenly across the bin.

  6. Stop before the material reaches or crosses the top rails.

🚨 NOTHING MAY EXTEND ABOVE THE TOP RAILS.

Do not stand on loose branches to force more material into the bin. Do not leave limbs hanging over the sides. An overfilled bin may not be safe or legal to transport, and pickup could be delayed until the load is corrected.
