At Tor Bin Rental, we don't just drop off metal boxes. We navigate the backroads of Simcoe County and nearby rural routes to ensure your renovation, cleanout, or construction project stays on schedule. Being a locally owned family business means we know every shortcut from the waterfront in Barrie to the potato fields of Alliston, and out toward Lisle, Everett, Mulmur, and Stayner.
Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes after you click "Book Now" on our website? Step into the cab of one of our roll-off trucks. This is a typical day in the life of a Tor Bin Rental driver.
6:30 AM: The Morning Briefing in the Yard
The day starts early at our main staging area. While the rest of Simcoe County is just reaching for their first coffee, our drivers are conducting pre-trip inspections. Safety is our priority. We check hydraulic lines, tire pressures, and the integrity of the bins.

We review the day’s route. Today, we have a mix of same-day deliveries and scheduled pickups across:
Barrie (Residential garage cleanouts)
Innisfil (New deck construction)
Angus (Roofing tear-offs)
Alliston (Commercial landscaping)
Lisle (Rural property cleanup)
Everett (Renovation debris removal)
Mulmur (Country lot projects)
Stayner (Residential and contractor drop-offs)
Our dispatch team prioritizes same-day requests. If you call us at 705-481-7604 before noon, we do everything in our power to get a bin to your driveway before the sun goes down. Even in more rural areas like Lisle, Everett, Mulmur, and Stayner, we work hard to provide same-day or next-day service whenever scheduling allows.
8:00 AM: The First Drop-Off in Barrie
Our first stop is a residential property near the Highway 400 corridor. The homeowner is starting a kitchen remodel. They’ve requested a 14-yard bin, our most popular size for interior renovations. On the July 25 master list, the 14-yard Standard Rate is $325, with extra weight at $130/tonne and a 5% fuel surcharge applied to all orders.
The Challenge: Tight Driveways
Many Barrie driveways are narrow or steeply inclined. This is where our driveway-safe equipment shines.
Step 1: We scout the area for overhead wires or low-hanging branches.
Step 2: We position the truck with surgical precision.
Step 3: The bin is lowered slowly. Our bins feature smooth, sled-style feet that prevent gouging or scratching.
⚠️ WARNING: Never let a bin company drop a container directly onto your asphalt without protection. At Tor Bin Rental, we ensure your property looks exactly the same after we leave as it did when we arrived.
10:30 AM: Cruising County Road 90 Toward Angus
The drive from Barrie to Angus is a familiar stretch of County Road 90. As we pass the southern edge of the Minesing Wetlands, we’re reminded of why we love serving this region. The landscape changes from urban density to rural beauty in minutes.
We’re heading to a construction site on a gravel driveway. This customer is disposing of heavy shingles.

For heavy materials like shingles or yard waste, we use specific weight-class bins. If you aren't sure which bin you need, follow this logic:
IF you are disposing of heavy shingles, soil, or concrete THEN book a Clean Fill or Shingle specific bin.
IF you are clearing out furniture, drywall, and general junk THEN a Household & Construction bin is your best bet.
For more details on avoiding extra fees, check out our guide on Soil vs. Clean Fill Disposal.
1:00 PM: Navigating the "Potato Capital" in Alliston
By mid-afternoon, we’ve moved south down County Road 10 into Alliston. The "Potato Capital of Ontario" is booming with new residential developments. We have three 20-yard bins scheduled for pickup today.
Large-scale projects require large-scale solutions. A 20-yard bin is roughly the size of a small minivan and can hold a massive amount of debris. On the July 25 master list, the 20-yard Standard Rate is $350, the 20-yard All-In Rate is $590, extra weight is $130/tonne, and a 5% fuel surcharge applies to all orders.

Why Contractors Choose Us:
Reliability: We show up when we say we will.
Flexibility: We offer 3-day, 7-day, or monthly rental terms.
No Hidden Fees: Transparent 5% fuel surcharge applied to all orders.

3:30 PM: The Final Push and Same-Day Service
The phone rings. A homeowner in Innisfil had their contractor show up a day early, and they need a bin immediately. Because we are locally operated, we can pivot our route. We dispatch a truck from a nearby pickup in Alliston back toward Lake Simcoe.

This is the "Tor Bin difference." A national chain would put you on a 48-hour waitlist. We just adjust our GPS. Whether it’s a 10-yard bin for a small backyard refresh or a massive cleanout, we get it there fast. On the July 25 master list, the 10-yard Standard Rate is $325, the 10-yard All-In Rate is $395, extra weight is $130/tonne, and a 5% fuel surcharge applies to all orders.
5:00 PM: Back to the Yard and Local Disposal
As the sun begins to set over Simcoe County, our trucks return to the yard. But the job isn't finished. We ensure all waste is transported to the appropriate licensed transfer stations. We take our environmental responsibility seriously. Sorting waste correctly isn't just about avoiding fees; it's about keeping our local community clean.
If you’re a first-time renter, you might have questions about what can and cannot go in a bin. Check out our Residential Dumpster Rental 101 for a complete list of prohibited items.
