Planning an Everett dumpster rental should be simple. The most important step is preparing the delivery area before the truck arrives.
A clear path helps the driver place your bin safely and efficiently. It also reduces the chance of delays, blocked access, or last-minute changes to the drop-off location.
Use this seven-point checklist before your scheduled delivery.
First, Choose the Right Everett Bin
Before preparing the driveway, confirm that you selected the correct bin size and waste category.
Tor Bin Rental offers these July 2026 starting rates and dimensions:
The 8-yard bin is specialty-only for soil, concrete, and asphalt. Use the appropriate specialty option when your project involves those materials.
The Regular Rate includes:
7-day rental
Delivery
Pickup
Up to 1 metric tonne

A 5% fuel surcharge applies. Rates are starting rates, vary by postal code, and are subject to H.S.T.

7 Things to Do Before Your Everett Bin Arrives
1. Select and Mark the Exact Loading Location
Decide where the bin should go before delivery day.
Choose a location that is:
Close to the renovation, cleanup, or work area
Easy to reach with wheelbarrows or carts
Level and stable
Away from active doors, garage access, and emergency routes
Clear of sprinkler heads, utility covers, and fragile landscaping
Mark the preferred location with cones, chalk, cardboard, or another visible marker.
This gives the driver a clear target. It also helps prevent confusion if you are not home when the bin arrives.
If you are unsure whether your Everett property can accommodate the bin, contact Tor Bin Rental before delivery. A quick review of your placement area can prevent a failed drop-off.

2. Measure the Driveway and Access Width
Measure the narrowest point from the street to the planned drop-off area.
Check:
Driveway entrances
Gates
Fence openings
Narrow side yards
Shared laneways
Tight turns
Space beside parked vehicles
As a practical guide, plan for approximately 10–11 feet of clear width wherever the truck must pass. The truck also needs room to approach and position the bin without scraping fences, posts, vehicles, or buildings.
A straight approach of approximately 60 feet is helpful for safe positioning.
If your Everett driveway is narrow, measure it before booking. The 10-yard bin is 7 feet wide, while the 14-yard and 20-yard bins are 8 feet wide. The bin may fit even when the delivery truck needs more space to line up and unload.
3. Check Overhead Clearance
Look up before the truck arrives.
Remove or identify anything that could interfere with the truck or bin during delivery, including:
Low tree branches
Utility wires
Cable lines
Eaves and roof overhangs
Carports
Satellite dishes
Signs
Trellises
Basketball hoops
Plan for approximately 22–25 feet of overhead clearance through the delivery path and above the placement area.
Do not assume that a clear driveway is enough. The truck and bin may need additional vertical space while the container is being positioned.
⚠️ If you see low wires, branches, or structures, contact Tor Bin Rental before delivery. Send a photo if needed. It is better to confirm the location early than to discover a clearance problem when the truck is on the way.
4. Move Vehicles and Other Obstacles
Clear the entire delivery route, not just the space where the bin will sit.
Move:
Cars and trucks
Trailers
Boats
Garbage carts
Yard equipment
Building materials
Planters
Toys
Temporary fencing
Portable basketball nets
Snow equipment
Ask household members, tenants, contractors, or neighbours not to park in the access area.
If you live on a shared driveway or have a narrow street approach, notify anyone who may block the truck. For properties near Lisle, Angus, or Alliston, this extra coordination is especially useful when access is shared with neighbours, farms, or active job sites.
Unlock gates and provide any access instructions included in your booking.
5. Prepare the Surface
Tor Bin Rental uses driveway-safe placement methods and wood protection to help protect asphalt, concrete, and other surfaces.
You should still inspect the ground before delivery.
Avoid placing the bin over:
Soft or recently disturbed soil
Damaged asphalt
Weak pavement
Unstable gravel
Drainage channels
Septic access points
Visible underground features
Tell us if the surface is sloped, soft, cracked, or recently paved. This information helps determine the safest placement.
Do not place plywood or boards where they could shift into the truck’s path. If you want additional surface protection, ask about the best setup before delivery.

6. Check the Weather and Prepare for Changing Conditions
Weather can affect the condition of your driveway and delivery area.
Before the truck arrives:
Clear snow and ice from the access route
Remove standing water where possible
Watch for soft ground after heavy rain
Keep the placement area free of mud and loose debris
Trim or secure branches made unstable by wind
Avoid leaving tarps, plastic, or lightweight materials where they can blow into the route
Rain can make gravel, soil, and lawn areas softer. A location that was stable when you booked may need to be reassessed after a storm.
If weather creates a new access problem, contact Tor Bin Rental as soon as possible. Do not wait until the truck is at your property.
7. Review Your Booking Notes
Take two minutes to review your confirmation before delivery day.
Confirm:
Delivery date
Rental length
Postal code
Bin size
Waste category
Regular or All-In Rate
Preferred placement location
Gate or access instructions
Any notes about narrow access or overhead hazards
The Regular Rate includes a 7-day rental, delivery, pickup, and up to 1 metric tonne. If you need a 3-day rental, monthly rental, early pickup, or an extension, make sure the request is recorded.
If your project has changed since booking, update the information before the truck leaves the yard. For example, tell us if you now need a different size, a different material category, or a new placement area.

What Happens on Delivery Day?
Booking
You can book your Everett bin online 24/7 without waiting for a phone call. Select your bin, rental dates, postal code, and pricing option.
Delivery
The driver arrives, reviews the access path, and positions the bin in the designated location. Keep the route clear until the truck has completed the drop-off.
Loading
Load the bin evenly. Use the rear doors where available, and keep heavy materials distributed across the container.
KEEP THE LOAD LEVEL. Nothing should extend above the top of the bin. Sharp items should point downward.
Pickup
When you are finished, contact Tor Bin Rental to arrange pickup or confirm the scheduled collection. Need more time? Ask about an extension before the rental period ends.

Need Help Preparing Your Everett Delivery?
If/then planning makes the choice easier:
IF you are working in a tight driveway or have limited access, THEN measure the space first and consider the compact 10-yard bin.
IF you are handling a larger household or construction cleanup, THEN compare the 14-yard and 20-yard bins.
IF your project includes soil, concrete, or asphalt, THEN confirm the 8-yard specialty-only rule before booking.
IF the truck path has low wires, branches, or narrow gates, THEN send the details to Tor Bin Rental before delivery.
For more planning guidance, read the 10-yard vs. 14-yard bin sizing guide, or review the Everett service area.
